"Front Toward Enemy" Claymore Patch

Every M18A1 Claymore built since 1960 carries this warning moulded into its face. The mine fires in one direction, so the lettering exists to stop whoever sets it in the dark from getting it round the wrong way.

Sixty years later it is still the driest line in the inventory, which is why it has been turning up on range bags and plate carriers ever since.

Embroidered, not printed
The lettering is stitched in relief rather than printed flat, so it still reads at arm's length once the patch has been through weather. Embroidered polyester in mud tan.

It moves between things
Hook backing, so it goes on a cap, a plate carrier or a display board and comes off again without a needle.
